ANTON SOLOMOUKHA
Born in 1945 in kyiv, Anton Solomoukha is a French artist and photographer of Ukrainian origin, foreign member of the Ukrainian Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1980, he has worked as a painter in the field of narrative figuration. In the year 2000, he developed photo projects. He is known as the inventor of a new genre in contemporary photography: “photo painting”, combining the photographic image and pictorial research in his multi-figure settings. He is also an outstanding designer.
His works are visible in many museums, notably in kyiv, Sarajevo, Moscow, New York, Chicago, Mons, etc.
Solomoukha died in Paris in 2016.
