Born in 1966, Fred Kleinberg lives and works in Paris. Trained at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris in Pierre Alechinsky's studio, he has been exhibiting his paintings since 1985 in Europe, the United States, and Asia, collaborating with various galleries. His work is featured in several public institutions.

As a globe-trotting artist, he has undertaken several artist residencies: at the Villa Medici in Rome in 1996 in collaboration with the novelist Kits Hilaire, at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art in 2001, in India at the Art Residency in Pondicherry in 2004, in China in collaboration with the Hong Merchant Gallery in Shanghai in 2010, and in India at the Shantiniketan University in 2018.

He has won several painting awards: the Salon de Montrouge Prize in 1998, the Coprim Foundation Prize in 2000, the Taylor Foundation Prize in 2008, the Charles Oulmont Foundation Prize in 2008, and the 1st Prize in Contemporary Art of Monaco in 2014.

"The paintings of Fred Kleinberg," writes Jean-Luc Chalumeau, "bring meaning before signs, offer a world before things. Yes, decidedly, a painting of truth like there are few examples today."
